Paint on rusted, recycled steel with internationally renowned artist, Mike Elsass in our patio and parking lot to help us raise funds for income lost during COVID!
Come spend your Friday evening with internationally renowned artist Mike Elsass during our open air, outdoor class. Paint with Mike and learn his “Brush Before the Brain” philosophy. In this class, you will learn to let go of all restraints and create freely. As Mike often and simply says, "No mistakes." You will paint on recycled, rusted steel, with a wide range of mediums. All supplies are included in the cost of $70/person.
Funds from this event will support Dayton’s Gem City Catfe, a coffeehouse, serving wine and cocktails, with adoptable, rescue cats living on site in a fully separate lounge. Gem City’s goal is to foster positive interactions between cats and people, in an expectation free environment.
While the cat lounge will be closed during the event, we’ll select a few star kitties to make a special appearance during the class. Allergic? Don’t worry, they will be harnessed, and we will be outdoors - a purrrrfect way to support our four-legged friends!
At the end of class, you will leave with your own unique piece of abstract art, and a sense of freedom and energy you're likely to have never experienced before.
This class is designed for all ages and abilities. Whether you've never painted a day in your life, or if you paint all the time, you are guaranteed to love this one of a kind experience!
TICKETS AND CANCELLATION
The cost of the class is $70 and covers the cost of all supplies. Tickets also include a drink of choice, including wine and cocktails. You must at least 21 to purchase alcohol and alcoholic beverages must be consumed on our patio. Out of respect for our wonderful instructors’ time, we ask for 48 hours cancellation notice prior to the event so we may have time to re-sell your ticket.
MILITARY TICKET GIVEAWAY
Two tickets have been generously gifted for active duty military personnel. We will be drawing randomly on Wednesday, October 14th at 11am to give them away. To enter your name, fill out our quick online entry form here.
LOCATION
The classes on October 9th and 15th will be outdoors at the Catfe. We will be using our parking area. Restrooms will be accessible inside.
